I've just bought FCE 4.0 to play around with my new Sony HDR-CX7EK camera. First I installed the windows-software that came with the camera on my windows-ibm laptop. It gave me moff, modd and m2ts-files. I guess the m2ts file is the actual data as this file is the biggest. After installing FCE I copied the files via a usb-stick to my MAC. Ready for a long evening with lots of videoediting I was quite sad that I did not understand the m2ts-format. Could anyone tell me what I can do? I have deleted the files from the camera and now I only have these files that I really really want to work on in FCE!

I am having a similar problem with clips downloaded from FSC Firestore. I copied a few m2t and quicktime files to my Mac Pro Desktop. I now find that neither iMovie or Final Cut Express will open the files. I find that the Quicktime viewer says that I need to download a program from QT to open the .mov files. Hope someone will give us some answers.

Nowadays, the MAC OS gradually become one of the most frequently used tools. People can work better, if we can have fun in listening music or watching our favorite films, and just can see the music and movies on our mobile phone, iPod, iPhone and other portable player.
